I am visiting professor at the Politechnical University Torino (Polito), Italy, for this spring semester 2020. I co-teach the course “open systems design” together with Prof. Peruccio and colleagues of the Institute of Design, developing circular economy systems for regional territories. I will engage in organizing a joint PhD summer school with ETH Zurich and EPFL Lausanne, taking place in September 2020 in Ostana, Valle Po, at the MonViso Institute (MVI). MVI is a real-world laboratory for sustainability transitions and regenerative design, which I co-founded. We will establish closer bonds between MVI and Polito, both in teaching and research on real-world transitions and design. Together with colleagues at the DAD, I will co-author a paper on inter- and transdisciplinary cooperation between science, architecture, design and practice for advancing sustainability and regenerative systems through design. As well, I will engage in building a European Master program in Systemic Regenerative Design between Polito, ETH, Delft, and AHO. More info.
