Training to become a certified Mountain Bike Guide

with No Comments

In my life-long quest to build and exchange knowledge, to teach and learn, to guide people on learning journeys and holistic development processes, I have been curating and guiding i.e. embodied outdoor experiences for now close to 30 years.

My professional trainings, certifications and continuous refreshment courses as a high alpine (ski) mountaineering guide, a ski instructor in various training schemes, countries, and skiing styles, a state-certified sports teacher, and my practices as bike guide, wilderness guide, survival trainer, team trainer, kayak/canoe and packraft guide – all have (in)formed my didactic portfolio and reach.

Through further engaging in complexity didactics, and by co-developing Systemic Cycles (a didactic and practice) with years of bikepacking tours, I now took the logical step to as well become formally certified as a mountain bike guide and technic trainer.

Through MonViso Institute, we organized a boutique training course in the High Po River Valley with the DIMB, Deutsche Interessengemeinschaft Mountain Bike. Together with a group of friends, we spent 5 days training with a DIMB instructor.

I am now a Mountain Bike Guide and Technic Trainer, which supports the portfolio expansion and professionalization of my didactic activities through Systemic Cycles, the DRRS program at ETH Zurich, and the MonViso Institute’s portfolio.
