Living Systems Labs

Experimenting with resilient regenerative futures: embodying outer and inner nature, enacting emergence, building meta-awareness, evolving habits

What are Living Systems Labs? What purpose may they serve? How do they distinguish from other types of labs, such as Living Labs? What are examples and illustrations of Living Systems Labs and their activities? How do we spread LSL thinking and practices?

In this new Medium article, I frames Living Systems Labs (LSL) as experiential places and spaces with open system boundaries to experiment with enacting living systems and specifically explore the habitual-cultural “non-nature-gap” of us humans through research, design, and embodied practice. The article offers a navigating relation of LSL with other types of (established) labs and positions them in the DRRS (Designing Resilient Regenerative Systems) context.
